Customised vanity units from a single source
Schlüter-KERDI-BOARD-WS and -WW
Schlüter-KERDI-BOARD-WW and now also Schlüter-KERDI-BOARD-WS complete sets can be used to create vanity units entirely according to the requirements of building owners and renovators. At BAU 2025, Schlüter-Systems presented the new solution KERDI-BOARD-WS to be used in combination with free-standing fittings. This vanity unit is also available with a new discreet drainage profile that is integrated as a shadow joint. Another new feature: matching sloping profiles for the side panels for both variants.
The vanity unit makes a particularly eye-catching feature in any bathroom – and with the complete sets, building owners and renovators have almost free rein over their design ideas. In addition to the existing KERDI-BOARD-WW for installation under wall-mounted fittings, Schlüter-Systems has developed a new set that is suitable for mounting mono-bloc mixer taps: KERDI-BOARD-WS contains the prefabricated vanity unit including integrated stiffening plate for mounting the fitting, suitable shaped parts for waterproofing the corners, drain adapter with 1 ¼“ connecting thread including sealing collar and a cartridge of KERDI-FIX installation adhesive. The vanity unit elements are easy to handle and impressively light. They can be cut to size according to individual design requirements and combined with tiles and matching finishing profiles as desired – this offers maximum design freedom in renovation or new-build projects. This is further enhanced by the fact that they can also be designed to be completely barrier-free on request.
Schlüter Systems developed the KERDI-BOARD-WDP drainage profile for stylish and unobtrusive water drainage in INCOVE design. The V4A brushed stainless steel profile is integrated into the KERDI-BOARD-WS vanity unit as a shadow joint. The water flows centrally along a drain opening that is 140 mm long. The profile is fitted with welded end caps. As the profile can be cut to size, the set also includes two additional end caps.
In future, it will be possible to clad the side panels of the new version of the vanity unit elements and also the version for wall-mounted fittings with sloping profiles. The WASHBASINPROFILE-WS is available for the new KERDI-BOARD-WS complete set. The set also comes with a decorative profile to cover the exposed front edge of the vanity unit, that is available in new TRENDLINE colours. The WASHBASINPROFILE-WW is used for designing the side panels of the vanity unit element below wall-mounted mixer taps. The new sloping profiles are made of V4A brushed stainless steel or with coloured or textured aluminium in the new colours of the TRENDLINE colour range. This means that not only do they match current tiling trends, they also perfectly complement the extensive range of Schlüter bathroom solutions which are also available with the attractive surface finishes. The sloping profiles also save the tiler time when installing the vanity unit as the tiles no longer need to be cut to fit the slope.
