Carefully considered functionality and stylish interior design. Cosy living comfort and great climate. BEKOTEC-THERM and DITRA-HEAT-E have proven themselves countless times in new construction projects.
A newly built house is far more than the sum of its parts. It combines comfort with practicality – and it provides a home for a whole lifetime. What plays a key role? The heating system at the heart of it all. This is precisely where our customers are extremely impressed: the BEKOTECH-THERM water-based floor heating system and the DITRA-HEAT-E electric panel heating system stand for living comfort 365 days a year.
Whether it's a classic family home, cosy bungalow or spacious two-family house: if you are constructing a new home, it is possible to create all the spatial and energy requirements for your own personal enjoyment. The focus here is not only on individual components, but also on their integration and expandability to form a perfectly coherent concept.
The feedback from our customers confirms over and over again that home owners are investing in modern living and energy saving with BEKOTEC-THERM and DITRA-HEAT-E from Schlüter-Systems – incidentally, often in combination with renewable energy sources such as heat pumps and solar technology.
We could probably explain a lot to you – but so can our customers. They include the Baumert, Strahlendorf and Weinrich families, who had BEKOTEC-THERM installed in their new homes. They were always able to count on our Schlüter system installers: They were there to advise them on all questions relating to the water-based floor heating system and supported them throughout the entire installation process.
The feedback from the families? Everything is great! Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM truly sets standards in terms of cosy warmth, increased space, construction time, a healthy living environment and hygiene.
There is so much more to building a new house than simply putting walls on a foundation and covering them with a roof. It signifies the beginning of a new phase in life: The first step through the door of the house is a step into a lifetime of shared moments.
At the same time, it is the largest single investment that has to cover as many phases of life as possible. That is why your project deserves nothing but the best from the very first sketch. Floor heating systems such as BEKOTEC-THERM have long been standard in new constructions.
We are all looking for the right floor heating system for cosy warmth.
(The Weinrich family, BEKOTEC-THERM over 116 m2)Our expectations include: uniform heat output, high level of living comfort, ease of control, less inertia than is the case with conventional systems.
(The Baumert family, BEKOTEC-THERM over 180 m2)Primarily, we would expect floor heating system to keep our feet warm when it's cold outside, to reduce our heating energy costs and to create more space and aesthetics in the rooms, now that there are no radiators.
(The Strahlendorf family, BEKOTEC-THERM over 83 m2)
Is a floor heating system the right choice for your building project? What does it cost to install and run? How well does it compare in terms of energy efficiency? Can it be combined with renewable energy sources and does it work well with the floor coverings you have in mind?
This requires years of experience and perfect craftsmanship on all storeys and floors. That is exactly what you can expect from Schlüter-System craftsmen. To suit the layout of your house, they recommend BEKOTEC-THERM and/or DITRA-HEAT-E as the optimum heating system. And they know exactly what kind of floor system is ideal for new builds and how the various heating zones should be structured.
At that time, we had no idea that BEKOTEC-THERM would actually save us an incredible amount of time. Even the low assembly height was something new for us. Added to this is the fact that it is these properties that enable the floor to warm up quickly.
(The Weinrich family)We felt that the personal contact on site with our technical consultant was very positive, professional and, most importantly, just when we needed it.
(The Baumert family)
The very well-organised teams of our Schlüter system craftsmen ensure a smooth process and high-quality results:
The BEKOTEC-THERM water-based floor heating system is installed on the smooth, clean and dry floor. The BEKOTEC-EN (52 mm assembly height) and BEKOTEC-EN-F (31 mm assembly height) studded panels are ideal for new construction projects. They are designed so the heating pipes can be installed in a self-clamping way. The spacings can be individually configured – depending on how much heat is required and the size of the room.
The next step is the screed, the DITRA uncoupling mats and the floor covering on top of them. 7 days later, you can already heat up the screed, which takes just 2 to 3 days depending on the supply temperature.
The entire floor heating system was installed in the house in a little more than two days. There was virtually no accumulation of dirt and it went incredibly fast – you could practically see each room being completed. A dream for any impatient house builder.
(The Weinrich family)What is also very good about BEKOTEC-THERM is that the DITRA uncoupling mat is installed between the screed and the tiles to prevent cracks from forming in the tiles.
(The Baumert family)The installation of the tiles can continue as soon as the screed is ready to walk on. Conventional surface heating systems typically require 28 days for the screed to dry. This advantage of BEKOTEC-THERM was essential to maintain our construction schedule.
(The Strahlendorf family)
The warmth with the feel-good factor, a cosy, healthy indoor climate and a pleasant quality of living: BEKOTEC-THERM quickly distributes energy-saving heat evenly across the surface. Here is where the heating system benefits from the excellent thermal conductivity and storage capacity of ceramic or natural stone coverings. Plus: This enables cost-effective reduced night temperature settings.
Not only that, the mild radiant heat means there is less dust in the room air – a great advantage, especially if you suffer from allergies. But even if you don't suffer from allergies, less dust makes your home feel more comfortable.
I truly believe that we have chosen the best floor of all time for the entire house. Everything points in favour of BEKOTEC-THERM – and nothing in favour of conventional radiators!
(The Weinrich family)Now our wood-finish tiles radiate a consistent level of heat and we really enjoy the warmth in the rooms. Even our children often prefer to play barefoot on the floor and feel really comfortable.
(The Baumert family)In our new house, we are really intrigued by the freedom of design in the rooms. We didn't have to sacrifice any space for radiators. Simply wonderful as well as practical!
