Declaration of Accessibility

This privacy policy tells you how Schlüter-Systems is working to improve accessibility.

Schlüter-Systems accessibility

Schlüter-Systems KG is committed to making its websites fully accessible in accordance with the national legislation on accessibility.

This Declaration of Accessibility applies to the websites eu.schluter.com, liprotec.de, schlueter-systems.com and schlueter.de, as well as all of their associated subdomains.

Basic principles of accessibility

Our aim is to make the websites accessible in accordance with European accessibility standard EN 301 549 and the international standard for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

The WCAG are international guidelines for the accessible design of digital content, which are based on the four basic principles of perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. Three levels of conformance are defined: A-AAA.

Status of conformity with the requirements

Our website is compliant in part with the requirements of EN 301 549 and WCAG conformance level AA. Basic information about our products is universally accessible.

The website was analysed as part of a project with the aim of making it as accessible as possible. Modifications have been made to the design and technology, and, where possible, further modifications are planned to improve accessibility. In particular, high contrast mode, which follows the settings of the operating system, has been introduced on the eu.schluter.com domain to increase accessibility.

Contents not accessible to disabled persons

The following content is not accessible to users with disabilities for the following reasons:

  • Download area of the homepage: The documents made available here are intended exclusively for business customers (B2B). Barrier-free presentation based on WCAG is not usually possible, as this would impair the functionality of the documents
  • Contrast levels are insufficient in some respects (foreground and background)
  • In some cases, control elements are not yet arranged in a completely logical sequence and do not have Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes
  • It is not always possible to provide alternative descriptions for images or graphics

This may be due to the disproportionate amount of work involved, or because the content does not fall within the area of application of the national legislation.
