Unbonded installation over TROBA in a gravel or crushed stone layer

In this assembly, the area drainage membrane Schlüter-TROBA serves as a protection and separating layer over the waterproofing assembly and protects it from the impression of individual gravel pieces.

Additionally, the product prevents the formation of “ice concrete” when water freezes on the waterproofing assembly. It also allows for the permanently effective drainage of water permeating through the open joints between the self-supporting pavers.

Thanks to the special shape of the trapezoid-shaped studs, loads are directly transferred to the waterproof substrate.

  5. Schlüter-TROBA
    is a protection and drainage layer for use over waterproofing layers below crushed stone or gravel layers. It consists of a pressure stable polyethylene sheet with perforated studs for reliable drainage. Make sure drainage is possible!
  6. Gravel or crushed stone layer
  7. Large format, self-supporting pavers
    Concrete pavers, natural stone or ceramic elements
