The bonded waterproofing assembly Schlüter-KERDI, which is bonded with hydraulically setting thin-bed mortar, protects the supporting structure, which is designed with a surface slope, against permeating moisture.
The passive capillary bonded drainage membrane Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN is installed in an adhesive between the waterproofing layer and the tile covering. This results in broad ventilation of the top covering, which in turn promotes the quick and even drying/curing of the thin-bed mortar.
The uncoupling function of Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN neutralises any occurring stresses.

- Sloped screed An adequate slope (1.5–2%) is required for drainage to ensure that the structure is functional
- Bonded waterproofing Schlüter-KERDI made of polyethylene, installed in thin-bed mortar. Joint bonding with sealing adhesive Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-L
- a) Bonded drainage membrane Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 4 made of polyethylene, installed in thin-bed mortar, with the functions bonded drainage, ventilation and bonded uncoupling

b) Bonded drainage membrane Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 8 specially designed for large areas and staircase constructions - Ceramic/porcelain stoneware tiles or natural stone pavers Installation – also large formats – with a dry-setting, water and weather-resistant thin-bed mortar
