Schlüter-DITRA is a bonded waterproofing assembly with tile and panel coverings. In addition to its waterproofing function, DITRA also has a bonded uncoupling function that neutralises stresses between the substrate and tile covering caused by temperature changes. Due to the vapour pressure equalisation function of the DITRA membrane, the residual moisture of the substrate (e.g. in green screeds) is safely drained away.

Note: Abutting joints and connections to walls and structural elements must be created with the sealing band Schlüter-KERDI-KEBA. Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-L is used for tightly sealed adhesive bonding.

  1. Cantilevered concrete slab
  2. Sloped screed
    An adequate slope (1.5–2%) is required for drainage to ensure that the structure is functional
  3. Schlüter-DITRA
    Special polyethylene mat, installed in thin-bed mortar, with the functions bonded waterproofing, bonded uncoupling and vapour pressure equalisation.
    Joint bonding with sealing band Schlüter-KERDI-KEBA, installed with Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-L sealing adhesive
  4. Ceramic tiles or natural stone pavers
    Installation with a dry-setting, water and weather-resistant thin-bed mortar.
    For coverings with an edge length ≥ 30 x 30 cm, we recommend Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN.
