The waterproofing assembly, designed with a surface slope that meets the requirements of DIN 18531, protects the support structure against the penetration of water.

Schlüter-TROBA-PLUS is installed as a drainage membrane between the waterproofing layer and the load distribution layer (screed) to drain away water.

This load distribution layer is installed as a thin layer with the crack-free, non-buckling Schlüter-BEKOTEC-DRAIN system.

The passive capillary bonded drainage and bonded uncoupling Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN is installed in thin-bed mortar between the screed and the tile covering. This results in broad ventilation of the top covering, which in turn promotes the quick and even drying/curing of the thin-bed mortar.

  1. Cantilevered concrete slab
  2. Sloped screed
An adequate slope (1.5–2%) is required for drainage to ensure that the structure
    is functional
  3. Vapour barrier acc. to DIN 18531
  4. Insulation
    Thickness according to requirements
  5. Structural waterproofing acc. to DIN 18531
  6. Schlüter-TROBA-PLUS
Passive capillary surface drainage for the effective run-off of water and full-surface ventilation.
    Make sure drainage is possible!
  7. Schlüter-BEKOTEC-DRAIN
Thin load distribution layer as a system for crack-free and functionally safe, floating screeds (cement screed CT-C25-F4 or pervious mortar)
  8. a) Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 4
Bonded drainage membrane made of polyethylene, installed in thin-bed mortar, with the functions bonded drainage, ventilation and bonded uncoupling
    b) Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN 8
