Schlüter-TROBA-STELZ-DR is a convenient installation aid for large format pavers in balcony and terrace assemblies. The 2 mm high plastic rings are The 2 mm high plastic rings are installed on top of the drainage mat Schlüter-TROBA-PLUS-G and filled with tile adhesive. The corners of the pavers are then placed over the spots of mortar, and set at the right height and alignment.

After use, the rings can either be left in place as lost formwork or removed and reused.

What this product does

Schlüter-TROBA-STELZ-DR are plastic rings made of non-rotting polyethylene.

The covering joints remain open, which enables the finished covering to drain through the joints of the paver elements to the drainage layer of TROBA PLUS 8G, which is installed over the full area.

Any water accumulating at this level is then channeled to the drainage system by gravity, depending on the slope.

Installation

How to install this product

The passive capillary surface drainage TROBA-PLUS 8G serves as the substrate for TROBA-STELZ-DR on a sloped (≥1.5%), weight-bearing waterproofing surface.
Place TROBA-STELZ-DR at the joint intersections of the paver elements and fill them with tile adhesive. The adhesive should slightly protrude over the edge of TROBA-STELZ-DR to ensure that paver elements can be tapped into the tile adhesive at the correct height. As an alternative, TROBA-STELZ-DR can also be used as a removable installation formwork for the tile adhesive.
Several units of TROBA-STELZ-DR can be stacked for height adjustment in case of uneven substrates.

Schlüter-TROBA-STELZ-DR is made of non-rotting polyethylene. The plastic rings have a diameter of 23 cm and a height of 2 mm.

The material is non-rotting, physiologically harmless and compatible with bitumen.
