Schlüter-KERDI-DRAIN BS  Approved fire protection insert

The body of the floor drain set Schlüter-KERDI-DRAIN-BAV 50 GVB should be fitted with the matching fire protection insert Schlüter-KERDI-DRAIN-BS to prevent fire from spreading to another floor level. It is simple to install in a few steps and can be combined with the conduit gasket KERDI-DRAIN-ZBS for the core drilling.

Here is how it works: The source material contained in the fire protection inserts expands at temperatures of about 150 °C and above to resist the spread of fire for a certain time (fire resistance duration R120, R90, R60, R30 – depending on ceiling structure).
