Progress with continuity – building for tomorrow with ideas from today.

Schlüter-Systems stands for innovations with distinction. For more than 50 years, we have been developing solutions for the safe and functional installation of tiles and natural stone pavers. What motivates us: practical further development, high quality standards and a set of values based on reliability. The result is products and systems for functional and durable living and working environments.

Innovation as standard. Products with a bright future.

A comprehensive range of products for the installation of tiles and natural stone pavers supports the functional planning and design of living and working areas. This includes profiles for finishing floor and wall coverings, elegant drainage systems, customisable vanity units as well as water-based and electrical radiant panel heating systems. Around 12,000 products are currently in the programme – and the trend is upward. That's because continuous development has always been part of our philosophy.

Schlüter-SCHIENE: 50 years of success

Hardly any other product embodies the innovative spirit of Schlüter-Systems as perfectly as the Schlüter-SCHIENE. It is a shining example of how a good idea can become the driving force behind long-term development and successful company history.

Not only did the invention of the finishing profile for tile coverings by company founder Werner Schlüter in 1975 lay the groundwork for Schlüter-Systems, it also permanently changed the market for ceramic tiles and natural stone.

A joint spacer perfected the product in 2001. A small detail with a large impact: the joint spacer makes SCHIENE and tiles even more resilient.

Schlüter-SCHIENE is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. It continues to be one of the most consistent products in the product range: 50 million linear metres leave the factory in Iserlohn year after year.

Intelligent heating systems: Efficiency meets comfort

How can efficient and cost-effective heating be achieved? Radiant panel heating systems from Schlüter-Systems represent a state-of-the-art solution because our tried-and-tested Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM and Schlüter-DITRA-HEAT-E systems are synonymous with modern heating technology.

The Institute for Building Systems Engineering Dresden (ITG) confirms: Compared to conventional heating systems, the BEKOTEC-THERM water-based floor heating system is particularly efficient. Together with a heat pump, it can enable energy savings of up to 9.5 percent.

The DITRA-HEAT-E electrical radiant panel heating system also enables the proactive use of resources: This smart system can be operated with renewable energy sources such as self-generated solar power.

MyDesign by Schlüter-Systems: Room for individuality

As unique as the taste of clients and renovation specialists: MyDesign by Schlüter-Systems enables the design of profiles and products with custom printing or in your favourite colour. From the design of the tile or natural stone covering to your personal favourite pattern and even logos or lettering – there are virtually no limits to your imagination regarding the design.

There are 190 RAL colours, three laser engraving variations and a state-of-the-art digital printing process that is unique when it comes to custom motifs. Functional products are transformed into individual design elements.

The innovative digital printing technology allows perfect matching of the visible edges of numerous Schlüter profiles to the tile or covering design – for effective edge protection that remains discreetly in the background.

KERDI-LINE-VARIO: Drainage par exellence

The KERDI-LINE-VARIO linear drainage combines carefully planned technology with aesthetic appeal. The drain adapter has an integrated waterproofing collar and can be flexibly aligned thanks to the 360-degree wave-shaped drain with odour trap.

The COVE and WAVE designs offer a choice of two finishes – in brushed stainless steel or aluminium with TRENDLINE coating. Colour matched to current tile trends, the products blend harmoniously into modern bathroom designs.

The shower channel profiles can be individually cut to length on-site to create a precise fit for site conditions.

Certified quality. Signed and sealed.

Environmentally friendly construction is becoming ever more important. Certification systems such as those of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings (QNG) and the Rating System for Sustainable Construction (BNB) are crucial indicators in this process. Not only do they help plan construction projects in a resource-efficient manner, they also ensure that they are implemented efficiently. For building owners, architects and users, these systems create clarity and trust – thanks to verifiable criteria and comprehensive transparency.

The Schlüter-Systems product range is adapted to these requirements. Many of our solutions meet the high standards of such certificates and can be searched via the DGNB Navigator and the SHI database of the Sentinel Holding Institute. In addition, some products already have EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), for example Schlüter-KERDI-200, Schlüter-DITRA and Schlüter-DITRA-HEAT-DUO. This is how we contribute to making construction projects not just simpler, but also measurable and comparable.

Innovation meets design. Award-winning.

Schlüter-Systems regularly enters into competitions with other companies and industries and consistently scores highly with its innovative strength. This is confirmed by numerous awards.

One particular highlight is the "Architects’ Darling Awards". They honour manufacturers and products that respond with genuine solutions to the current challenges within the industry. In 2024, Schlüter-Systems was once again presented with the Golden Brand Award in the "Tiles/Pavers" category - a clear indication of the high quality of our products and the high regard in which they are held by the 2,000 architects and planners who took part in the survey.

Established identity. Brand in action.

Making wise use of resources, reducing emissions, thinking long-term about buildings – these principles are becoming steadily more important in the world of construction. Independent certification bodies examine construction projects and products for their environmental compatibility according to clearly defined standards. This provides orientation and transparency for architects, clients and users.

Also in the design and further development of our company campus, we rely on solutions that save resources and are forward-thinking. Our aim: Working environments that are sustainable and can be operated efficiently. The Schlüter-WorkBox and the new administrative building are perfect examples of this – with standards that are intentionally higher than those required by law and serve as striking landmarks in unmistakable Schlüter architecture.

Schlüter-WorkBox: Training centre where innovation meets responsibility

At the highest level since 2016: The Schlüter-WorkBox was awarded the platinum certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) when it opened. In this way, the building sets new standards that convincingly combine ecological, economic, technical and social quality.

We count on the proven quality of our own products for the basic geothermal supply of our training centre. For example, Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM. This floor heating system impresses when used together with building materials such as ceramic and natural stone. Supplemented by hybrid ceiling systems, this creates a room climate that is pleasant no matter what the season.

In the foyer of the completely barrier-free building, a vegetation wall replaces conventional air humidifiers. The plants release moisture into the ambient air, which is then distributed throughout the building via the ventilation system.

Whether it's a workbench or a whiteboard – the Schlüter WorkBox combines seminar rooms, practical rooms, conference rooms and individual workstations. Movable walls mean the spacious training rooms can be turned into a conference hall at lightning speed, with climate and lighting automatically adjusted using smart controls. For active breaks, there is a football pitch and outdoor area featuring the "Trapezium 1884" sculpture. The modern spaces are also open to external organisers – and are used by professional associations such as chambers of architects among others.

We are proud of the Schlüter-WorkBox. Certified to the highest ‘Platinum’ level of the DGNB sustainability concept, it is not only a recognisable landmark, but also emphasises our sustainable connection to our company location in Iserlohn.

The office and administration building, which went into operation in 2021, also sets a positive tone both architecturally and ecologically: with the DGNB Gold Award, it has been acknowledged as another example of pioneering construction.

Modern metal hybrid ceilings with integrated piping on each floor and Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM ensure a pleasant working environment across approximately 4,300 square metres. The necessary energy is supplied by a large-area geothermal probe field: it extracts heat from the ground in winter, which is processed by heat pumps and transferred to the floor and ceiling.

A modern ventilation system ensures a consistent and pleasant ambient climate on the office floors. Fresh air is drawn in from outside and cooled or heated depending on the season. Humidified with water vapour, the air enters the offices along shafts and is fed back into the ventilation system after use.

The rotary heat exchanger that is used removes the warm air from the exhaust air flow of the ventilation system and transfers it to the supply air. This type of heat recovery was a sound investment that increases comfort, reduces energy consumption and helps improve the environmental balance.
