Schlüter-TROBA-STELZ-MR is a convenient installation aid for large format paver elements in balcony and terrace assemblies. The 25 mm plastic rings are placed as lost formwork at the joint intersections of the paver elements on the drainage mat Schlüter-TROBA-PLUS-G and filled with tile adhesive. The corners of the pavers can then be placed on the resulting paver supports, tapped in at the correct height and aligned.
What this product does
TROBA-STELZ mortar rings can be combined telescopically for easy height adjustment of the covering, regardless of the on-site slope of the substrate.
The finished covering drains through the open joints of the paver elements to the drainage layer of TROBA PLUS 8G, which is installed over the full area.
Any water accumulating at this level is then channeled to the drainage system by gravity, depending on the slope.
How to install this product
- The passive capillary surface drainage TROBA-PLUS 8G serves as the substrate for TROBA-STELZ-MR on a sloped (≥1.5%), weight-bearing waterproofing surface.
- Place TROBA-STELZ-MR at the joint intersections of the paver elements and fill them with fresh mortar (preferably pervious mortar). The adhesive should protrude about 5 mm over the edge of TROBA-STELZ-MR to ensure the paver elements can be tapped into the tile adhesive at the correct height.
- TROBA-STELZ-MR can be combined telescopically for height adjustment in larger assembly heights. For snapping the plastic rings together, align the lateral markings "A" and "B".
What this product is made from
