Efficient and clever heating in every room.

Warmth added quickly, efficiently and precisely: this is where DITRA-HEAT-E demonstrates its strengths across the entire surface. Be it on the floor or on the wall. It also has uncoupling properties so that the substrate and covering can move independently of each other.

Rapid heat-up response time: DITRA-HEAT-E-DUO is ideal for this – up to 80 percent of the heat is radiated directly into the floor covering

Ideally suited for renovation and new construction projects

When building a new home or renovating an existing building, its common to avoid classic radiators because they restrict the options for flexible room design. A solution that architects, planners, tradesmen and clients love equally: DITRA-HEAT-E. The electric floor and wall heating system from Schlüter-Systems provides comfortable warmth wherever it is required. Plus, when used together with the BEKOTEC-THERM floor heating system, it combines the benefits of modern heating in an intelligent and efficient way.

Quick and individual installation – for targeted heat

The three major components of our electric floor heating system are: DITRA-HEAT mat with special studded structure, the thermostat and heating cable . Installation is intuitive: the heating cables are installed between the studs of the mat and embedded directly with tile adhesive. Consequently, they are positioned directly under the floor covering so that the heat reaches it efficiently. The low installation height is a practical feature for new constructions and the renovation of existing buildings.

Like the original, the Peel & Stick version of the studded mat also serves as a solid base for installing the energy-saving electric heating system. DITRA-HEAT-PS is quick, clean and easy to install. Simply peel off the protective membrane on the underside and adhere the studded mat to the adhesive-friendly, dust-free substrate – even P5 green chipboard. The pressure sensitive adhesive laminated to the underside eliminates the need to apply additional tile adhesive during installation. This saves material, time and money. All other functions of the proven DITRA-HEAT mat remain unchanged.

Thanks to thin-set technology, the electric floor heating system also works in places where the use of water-carrying systems is not structurally possible. The mat also impresses with functions that are indispensable for high-quality tile and natural stone coverings: it protects against permeating moisture, substrate cracks are not transferred into the covering, and guarantees direct load transfer as well as neutralising uncoupling to keep your ceramic or natural stone floor and wall coverings beautiful for a long time. Also effectively reduces impact sound by up to 9 dB.

And because the system is certified as a bonded waterproofing system, it can be used in bathrooms and other damp rooms. This means you have warm feet even in the shower or when brushing your teeth at the vanity.

DITRA-HEAT-E can be modified to suit any floor plan. From adding warmth to floors in the bathroom, to comfortable tiled benches in the shower or steam room. Control the temperature at the touch of a button.

Integrated in the wall, DITRA-HEAT-E ensures pleasant warmth. The system can be time-controlled to heat the towel rail and the wall surfaces of showers for comfortable warmth when the shower is in use.

DITRA-HEAT-DUO has proven to be the ideal solution where heat is required quickly and for a short time. Especially in a bathroom, which is only used at certain hours in the morning and at night, a system is required that reacts at lightning speed and offers maximum efficiency. In well-defined comfort zones, for example in front of the vanity, cosy, warm areas are created in just moments.

The additional fleece with a thickness of just 2 mm functions as a thermal barrier: more than 80 percent of the heat is channeled directly toward the top into the floor covering during the heat-up phase. This leads to a noticeably faster and more energy-saving heating effect.

The fleece component of the uncoupling mat improves not only the heat-up response, but also ensures a significant reduction in impact sound transfer. An independent testing institute has certified an impact sound reduction of up to 13 dB for the uncoupling mat.

Perfect Fit: appropriate solutions for any substrate

Low installation heights, rapid response times, maintenance-free operation and pleasant cosy warmth: these are the greatest benefits of DITRA-HEAT-E and DITRA-HEAT-DUO. Schlüter electric floor heating systems are ideal for combining with ceramic and natural stone tiles – the floor coverings just need to be level and load-bearing. The table shows the most appropriate system combinations:

over BEKOTEC-THERM x _
over a wooden structure x x
over unheated screed _ x
over a weight-bearing previous covering (unheated) _ x

Popular places of use of DITRA-HEAT-E

The energy-saving system is the optimum solution for the electric heating of tiled floors and walls. You can use it to create selective comfort zones that give off a mild radiant heat. The system's temperature controls let you control the temperatures and heating times – entirely according to your personal requirements.
