Schlüter-TERRAZZO-M  Separator and decorative profile made of brass

Schlüter-TERRAZZO-M has a visible surface that is 4 mm wide and a profile height of 30 mm. The head design has a height of 3 mm, which means that the profile can be ground down by up to 2 mm. It can be used in combination with a newly installed terrazzo covering as well as with terrazzo pavers. Perforations punched in the centre area are used to permanently fix the profile in mortar.

Installation with freshly installed terrazzo coverings

1. Schlüter-TERRAZZO-M is installed according to the planned surface area and aligned to the exact layer thickness required.
2. The freshly installed terrazzo is then incorporated into the covering sections, compacted and skimmed flush with the profile surface.
3. When the coating has hardened, it can be ground or polished.
   
   Note: The profile can be ground down by up to 2 mm. The installation instructions of the terrazzo manufacturer must be observed.

Installation with terrazzo pavers

1. Schlüter-TERRAZZO-M must be set as flush as possible with the surface with contact mortar against the edge of an already completed tile covering.
   Note: To compensate for material tolerances, the profile should not be higher than the covering surface. In fact, it should be used in such a way that it is up to one millimetre lower than the surface of the covering.
2. The adjacent covering segment must be installed flush with the top edge of the profile and solidly embedded in the mortar.
3. The remaining joint space of approx. 2 mm between the profile and the covering must then be filled with grout.
   
   Note: The TERRAZZO-M separator and decorative profile can be ground down by up to 2 mm.

This makes Schlüter-TERRAZZO-M ideal for dividing terrazzo coverings into specific areas.

In special individual cases, it may be necessary to clarify whether the intended material type is suitable for use based on the anticipated chemical, mechanical or other stresses.

During the manufacture of TERRAZZO-M separator and decorative profiles, minor traces of the manufacturing process may appear on untreated surfaces. These cannot be avoided.

An oxide layer forms on the visible surface of the brass profile due to exposure to air. This causes the surface to darken. Furthermore, exposure to moisture or aggressive substances can reinforce the oxidation, resulting in stains on the profile surface.
