Schlüter-KERDI-COLL  Two-component sealant adhesive

KERDI-COLL-L is a two-component sealant adhesive that can be used in both interior and exterior areas. It is suitable for adhering and sealing overlaps of KERDI membranes as well as tightly sealing the edges of the seaming tape KERDI-KEBA on KERDI, DITRA, DITRA-HEAT and KERDI-BOARD as well as on BARA edge profiles. This results in reliable and certified bonded waterproofing assemblies.

Two weights are available, 1.85 kg and 4.25 kg - please see the Function tab below for consumption values.

General product information

What this product does

KERDI-COLL-L is a two-component sealant adhesive based on a solvent-free acrylate dispersion and a reactive cementitious powder.

It is suitable for adhering and sealing overlaps of KERDI membranes. In addition, it can be used to tightly seal the edges of the seaming tape KERDI-KEBA on KERDI, DITRA, DITRA-HEAT and KERDI-BOARD as well as on BARA edge profiles.

In conjunction with the materials KERDI, DITRA, DITRA-HEAT or KERDI-BOARD and the matching KERDI-KEBA, installers can create certified bonded waterproofing assemblies.

Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-L is a system component of a technical approval required in Germany. The above-listed Schlüter products tested with KERDI-COLL-L feature the national technical approval (abP) required in Germany and have an Ü-mark quality seal for construction products.

Please refer to the respective product data sheets for information about the moisture exposure classes according to abP. KERDI-COLL-L is a system component with European Technical Assessment (ETA) according to ETAG 022 (bonded waterproofing assemblies). The above-listed Schlüter products tested together with KERDI-COLL-L bear the CE mark.

How to install this product

Apply the material on clean and dry KERDI, DITRA or DITRA-HEAT membranes/mats, KERDI-BOARD or BARA profiles. The suitability of other substrates must be verified and evaluated. Depending on the application, the material can be applied with the smooth side of a trowel and then grooved with a notched trowel of size 3 x 3, 3 x 4 or 4 x 4 mm. If the material is mixed to a thinner consistency, it can be applied with a brush or a roller.

Fully embed the materials to be adhered as quickly as possible (before a film forms on the surface), avoiding all air pockets.

We recommend drawing the smooth side of the notched trowel over the KERDI-KEBA tape or using a suitable pressure roller for adhering the seaming tape. Again, make sure there are no air bubbles.

The application and installation information in our product data sheets 8.1 Schlüter-KERDI, 6.1 Schlüter-DITRA, 6.4 Schlüter-DITRA-HEAT and 12.1 Schlüter-KERDI-BOARD must be followed.

The drying and curing time is shorter in warmer temperatures. and longer at low temperatures.

The ambient temperature for the installation may not fall below 5 C until the final curing. Protect freshly built waterproofing assemblies against moisture, e.g. from rain, until they have fully cured.

Open containers must be used up promptly.

Safety note

KERDI-COLL-L contains cement that has an alkaline reaction in conjunction with moisture. Wear protective gloves and goggles when working with the material to avoid contact with skin and eyes.

In case of eye contact, immediately rinse eyes with plenty of water and seek the advice of a doctor. Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-L must be kept out of the reach of children.

What this product is made from

KERDI-COLL-L consists of a solvent-free acrylate dispersion (KERDI-COLL-A) with a bulk density of 1.0 kg/l and a reactive cementitious powder (Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-RL) with a bulk density of 1.2 kg/l. The two components are mixed prior to application.

Material properties and areas of application

KERDI-COLL-L is suitable for wall and floor applications in conjunction with KERDI, DITRA, DITRA-HEAT or KERDI-BOARD and the corresponding joint tape KERDI-KEBA in interior and exterior areas (except KERDI-BOARD).

In special cases, the suitability of the materials must be verified based on the anticipated chemical, mechanical, or other stresses.

The packages include 1.75 kg (large package) or 0.75 kg (small package) of the acrylate dispersion KERDI-COLL-A and 2.5 kg (large package) or 1.1 kg (small package) of the reactive powder KERDI-COLL-RL to create a smooth spackling compound. This corresponds to a mixing ratio of 1:1.4.

The mixing proportion can be varied to a maximum of 1:1 depending on the desired consistency. In this case, the quantity of the reactive powder (KERDI-COLL-RL) is reduced accordingly.
