As an alternative to colour coatings and prints from the MyDesign by Schlüter-Systems programme, engravings are a further option to add a personal touch to Schlüter products. My Schlüter-KERDI-LINE lets you customise our level-access shower channels with text, images or logos.

Heating of the material generates an abrasion-resistant black oxide layer that can only be removed under extreme heat (about 700° C). The surface is even and, depending on the viewpoint, the engraving may feature further colour hues.

The surface is heated with a laser, which creates discolouration in the engraved areas. A visible layer of the surface is abraded up to a depth of 0.05 mm.

In contrast to deep engraving, the artwork is engraved in fine gridlines. This makes the surfaces appear brighter.
